Tuscan Medici Diplomatic Mission
in the Republic of Türkiye
Beauty, Humanitas and Continuous Renaissance
A meeting place where Tuscany’s humanist heritage encounters the cultural, artistic and entrepreneurial energy of Türkiye. Through reciprocal exchange with Tuscany and the international Medici network, relationships can become beauty, value and enduring works.
01 · IDENTITY
A Humanist Bridge Between Tuscany and Türkiye
The Mission fosters cultural, artistic, academic and economic relations through the Borghi Umanistici Medicei project and the Rinascimento Continuo.
Our aim is to bring together a community of people committed to creating enduring works: a meeting of artistic talent, entrepreneurial initiative, the responsibility of benefactors and the vitality of local communities.
This identity also finds expression through cultural diplomacy: reciprocal exchange between members of the Mission in Türkiye and members of the Medici Humanist Districts in Tuscany and, where established, in other regions and countries. The network not only shares values; it fosters partnerships capable of producing enduring works together.
The Mission operates in accordance with the General Regulations of the Tuscan Medici Diplomatic Missions and the acts of the Grand Ducal House and the International Medici Association.
02 · CULTURAL DIPLOMACY
Reciprocity That Turns Relationships into Enduring Works
The Mission is humanist in the values it advances and diplomatic in the dialogue it builds across communities, cultures and territories. Its purpose is not merely to promote Medici humanism in Türkiye: it also enables reciprocal exchange between Turkish and Tuscan humanist traditions and brings partners together to realise tangible works in both directions.
A Network That Connects People
Members of the Turkish Mission develop ties with local artists, scholars, cultural institutions, entrepreneurs and philanthropists. At the same time, they engage with members of the Medici Humanist Districts in Tuscany and, wherever established and active, with corresponding Medici communities in other regions and countries.
These connections allow projects originating in Türkiye to attract artistic commissions, funding or patronage from Tuscany or other districts; in turn, Turkish partners can support humanist initiatives in Tuscany and across the international network. The exchange extends beyond financial resources to ideas, talent, traditions and knowledge.
Humanist Works in Türkiye
An artistic, cultural, architectural or environmental project developed in Türkiye may receive commissions, financial support or patronage from Tuscan entrepreneurs and benefactors, or from members of other Medici Humanist Districts worldwide.
Humanist Works in Tuscany
Artists, entrepreneurs, benefactors and members of the Turkish Mission may contribute to the creation or enhancement of works and projects in Tuscany, in cooperation with local districts and their representatives.
Partnerships Across Territories
Where Medici districts exist in other regions or countries, the Mission can foster shared projects, cross-border artistic commissions, exchanges of expertise, cultural initiatives and partnerships between several communities.
